The Rotary Club of Benoni Aurora has a dedicated committee working to fulfil the ideal of “building goodwill and better friendships” and “building international understanding”.

The committee is responsible for:

• Raising and collecting funds for The Rotary Foundation and promotion of the Benefactor programme.
• Assessment of candidates to receive the prestigious Paul Harris Fellow award and the organization of the formal awards function.
• Administration of Matching Grant programmes and sourcing potential partner clubs abroad. Three recent Matching Grant projects has led to the establishment of a Kidz Care Club in Etwatwa, Daveyton, upgrading of various facilities at CHANCE Children’s home and the installation of a media centre at Petit School.
• Organisation of programmes for visiting GSE teams and sourcing of candidates for outgoing teams.
• Sourcing of candidates for the Ambassadorial Scholarship programme and assisting with incoming scholars.
